Church of Christ at
James Street
We have a plea for every individual in our community and any religious organization. Our plea is this, let's get back to
the Bible. Let it be the determining factor in everything we do religiously. This is exactly what it was designed for (2Tim
3:16-17), (2Pet 1:3). Lets speak where the Bible speaks, and be silent where the Bible is silent (Rev 22:18-19). Lets call Bible
things by Bible names (1Pet 4:11). Lets do Bible things in Bible ways (Jude 3). Surely if we do these things in this way it
would be approving to God (Col 3:17). If we do not follow God's directives, we cannot have salvation (Mt 7:21).

If there is disagreement with our application of the scriptures, please speak with us about our differences, privately or
even in public polemic. We will meet any one, at any time, any where. This is a biblical concept, and many times we can read
of both private and public studies taking place in the New Testament. This type of activity can and does reap much fruit for
all that will attend and have an honest open mind of what the Bible teaches.

Furthermore, if public debate is requested, we will provide news paper, flier, and radio advertisements of any such
scheduled event that we are participating in. This of course is for the benefit of the general public that may have an interest
in such event.

Does your current religious affiliation have enough courage and conviction to publicly debate where it stands on
biblical topics and issues? If not, this is proof within itself that they are doing things which cannot be verified by scripture. Is
this the type of affiliation that you want? One that cannot defend its practices. The Bible teaches that those who will not be
Bold, and who will flee from such is wicked (Proverbs 28:1). We are to be ready always to give an answer to any man about
our religious convictions. And we are to be ready willing and able to do this in any forum, public or private, when convenient,
and when not convenient
(1 Pet 3:15), (2 Tim 4:2).

Does your current religious affiliation have enough courage to change? Herein lies the difference between the church of
Christ, and denominations. The church of Christ is willing, ready, and able to change its views, practice, and application of
any Bible concept. If we are wrong we want to be right! Is this so bad? If you can help us to see the error of our ways, we
would owe you a debt of gratitude. And wouldn't you want to help your neighbor? Certainly you would! As do we. We ask the
exact same response from you. If you are found to be in error, why stay like that? Why not want to do the right thing? You
would expect honest people to be honest, and the Lord would want, yea demand honesty also. He would want you to do that
which is right, not that which is found in error!

Someone says, we cannot come to the same conclusion on biblical matters. This is a popular belief, but dead wrong! Christ
prayed for unity, gave Himself so that we may be one, and further, expects and demands that we be of the same mind and
judgment, (John 17), (1 Cor 1), and (Acts 20:27). This can all be accomplished through and by His word, the Bible (2Tim
3:16-17), (2 Pet 1:3), (Jude 3)! His will be Done.
